Surviving Stroke Vol. 1
for the Stroke Survivor
for the Care Partner
Hazella was
an active professional opera singer, wife and new mother to a 12
day-old infant when she suffered a dissection of the left brain
stem artery leaving her partially paralyzed and unable to walk,
talk or swallow. After massive complications requiring life support
and a lengthy hospital stay, Hazella began an arduous rehabilitation.
Three years later, having obtained certification as a personal fitness
trainer specializing in stroke survivors, demand grew for her services
and her encouragement. As a result, she searched for a vehicle that
would allow her to reach as many people as possible. This recording
is the first in a series addressing the Stroke Survivor and Care
Partner, providing both information and motivation.
